“When are we going back? ” is what Louie asked me before even leaving the Jennings GP parking lot.
 Feb. 11 & 12th: We packed up the van & left for Jennings early that morning, knowing that we had 20+ hours of a drive before arriving. We met up with some friends along the way, Pierre & Maxime. As the hours & miles went by the exhaustion set in as we wanted to make the drive non stop. We arrived at the hotel Friday morning a little before lunch, both zombies but thrilled to finally be there. After a short nap we went to scope out the whereabouts of the track.
Feb. 13th: We were hoping for warmer weather as we were in Florida after all but didn’t make much difference, Louie was gonna ride no matter what. We did our usual preparations for the practice sessions & away he went. Each & every session Louie was dropping seconds like nothing, never seeing the track before that day. We set a time per lap goal for that day & easily reached it.
Feb. 14th: We awoke to even colder temperatures that morning. Didn’t matter we had some more time to make up on the track & preparations to do for the afternoon “expert mock race”. The morning sessions went as planned. During the lunch break we got a briefing on how the races go during the afternoon.
